Polyphenols are colored compounds found in foods like:

They are Antioxidants that help protect your body from free radicals


Curcumin - makes turmeric brighkt yellow.



Plants make polyphenols to not get sun burnt like people.

Plants also make polyphenols so animals and insects won’t eat them up.

Polyphenols are useful to us when metabolized by good gut bacteria.


Every day new research is being done when it comes to the specific health benefits of polyphenols.
